We're based in Totnes in South Devon, and the first WyldRooms we'll be building will be close to home. In 2025 we'll be prioritising projects in the area immediately around Totnes, but could also be persuaded to travel a little further out towards coast or moor. In 2026 we'll be expanding to serve all of Devon and Cornwall, and in 2027 we'll be taking commissions across the South of England. 

WyldRooms take between 4 and 6 weeks from the start of building to when they're ready to use – depending on the size you choose. About half of that will be drying / curing time, meaning that we will be on site actually building the WyldRoom for only 2 or 3 weeks in total. The process is mostly very gentle and calm, and our lovely, good-humoured team works to the sound of peaceful music.

Garden Rooms are considered Permitted Development and so do not require planning permission, as long as all the criteria for Permitted Development are met. WyldRooms are no exception to this. Their dimensions fall within the parameters allowed for by Permitted Development rights, as defined in Class E of the document Permitted development rights for householders: technical guidance.

WyldRooms need to be built on a level site. It doesn't need to be completely flat, but nearly, or able to be levelled so. We can't build into the side of a hill, for example. They also need a fair amount of space: their footprint is between around 6m and 10m diameter, depending on the size you choose, and they need to be built at least 2m from the boundary of your property. And they need 5m of headroom during construction.
