Everything Starts Somewhere...
Our origin story is pretty unique, and remains at the heart of what we do, so we thought we'd share it with you.
Once upon a time...
... a young man who longed for a more beautiful world journeyed far into the west and deep into nature in search of a way of life that could nourish his indigenous soul.

One day, on the side a holy mountain, he met a woman very wise in the ways of the land. Her name was Emerald, and she lived in the cutest little round hut he had ever seen. She soon became his teacher.
Emerald lived by the light of the sun and moon, growing her own food, cooking it on her open fire, drinking the water of the clear stream that flowed near her hut, and playing sweet music on her harp.

For 5 years the young man stayed with her, learning her ways and attuning to the rhythms of nature. He also learned how to build the kind of earthy little round hut she lived in, and he built one for himself.
It was a feral little home, made mostly from the raw stuff of the woods. People who visited said it looked like it had sprouted from the earth itself, or from some woodland nymph's wild imagination.

It was certainly very wild, but inside it was cosy enough, and the young man lived there happily. His life was a simple one, but rich in natural beauty, and he felt he had found what he had been looking for.
He lived immersed in wild nature, his senses filled with the shapes and sounds of the woods. A spring-fed stream flowed just in front of his door, and it's music filled his hut all day and night.

But eventually the time came for him to leave his woodland retreat. So he thanked Emerald for all she had taught him and said goodbye, and made his way back out into the world.
He felt as if he carried with him a wondrous gift that he could share with others, but for a long time he didn't know how to do it. And then at last, he saw what to do, and WyldRooms was born.

The man isn't so young anymore, but he still longs for a more beautiful world, one that can nourish all of our indigenous souls. So he's helping to create it, one WyldRoom at a time.
If you'd like to become part of our story, and to let us become part of yours, we'd love to make you a WyldRoom in your garden.
